Vinewood Farms: An Eco-Project Underway

Vinewood's mission has always been somewhat unclear, but pointed in the general direction of an alternative eco-farm -- part residential, part research & development of alternative building and energy products, and part gardens and food production.

Five parcels were originally purchased in stages with a somewhat more conventional homesteading plan initiated by the original partners in 2006. Having undergone a few ownership changes along the way in 2009, it is now becoming more clearly established as the rural component of fortunity's sustainable community model.

Permaculture gardens/farming, a machine shop, and residential spaces are the primary uses at this time. Development of a more specific garden plan is underway during the tail end of 2011, as well as further considerations for creating a master plan for the land -- to include additional residential, community education, and other sustainable project initiations.
